Who else hates finals as much as I do?
I wish I was joking, but that’s pretty much what happened. My modem stopped working and my ISP didn’t want to do anything about it till Monday. I did get some “work” done though. Decided to try my hand at mixing paint in search of the right shade of blue I need for Destiny.
For the practice, I used a runner primed half black and half white.
Here's my test subject.
I had four types of paint to mess around with.
One is not like the other....
From a bit of searching I found out I needed turquoise to get cobalt so all of this was basically to practice measurements and painting. I’m still having trouble figuring out what the right ratio of thinner is. Since cobalt was apparently impossible with the colors I had on hand, I just messed around in the end.
There was actually a lot of different mixtures and shades, but my hands were starting to get colored and I didn’t want to touch my camera. This is the majority of it anyways so you guys aren’t missing out.
Thats sort of all I have for now. Sorry for not bringing much back. Finals week is coming up and I’m being bombarded with work. Also, the weather is looking pretty bad so I can’t really prime. This weekend I’ll try my best to get some cobalt paint or prime the white pieces if the weather lightens up.
This is only here cause I thought it looked cool.

If you were wondering where last weekend’s post was, I couldn’t make it because I was out at a tourney. If you are wondering where today’s post is…..I’d like to know that too.
Since I’ve realized that I’ve been sort have wasting my time, I’ll just say that I won’t be doing the usual Wednesday update anymore.
It sort of takes more time than its worth. A lot of the news is just regurgitation and the post takes a surprisingly long time to do. Instead I will probably be using that time to actually work on Gunpla (hmm who would have guessed?). I figured that it was kind of weird that this is a gunpla (and baking) blog, but so far the gunpla stuff has been minimal. As far as Manga Wednesday, I will probably still be doing it, but not weekly.
That’s pretty much all there is at this point, I’ll come back over the weekend with a WIP . Sorry for continuously changing things. As I mentioned wayyy back when, this is the first time I’ve done something like this so I’m still figuring out the best way to do things. Hopefully later on things will stabilize.
Intellectual 06 was wondering where the hell the update was.
By now you guys should know what excuse I’m going to use so I won’t say it. Technically the update was up on Wednesday though……

I took the time to update the Spring mini-reviews too.
The opening for Tasogare Otome X Amnesia, Serment – Kawada Mami, The BokuTomu op by the BokuTomu girls (Do you know how long the actual song name is? I’m not gonna list it), and Infinity 7 by May’n (HNNNNG) and Ranka (wayy too lazy to find the VA’s name).
After all this was done and posted, I had no idea what I wanted to write for my ending statement. I….I think my brain exploded.
This is the equivalent of how I've been feeling for the past few weeks.
So I’m finally back. Originally I was going to keep being lazy, but SOMEONE just had to make me feel bad. (pic somewhat unrelated)
ALL WEEK. I'VE BEEN PLAYING ALL WEEK. ITS NOT EVEN FUN ANYMORE T_T.
So at the start of spring break, I got an email notice. I thought it was weird cause I usually don’t get notified for spam. Turns out it wasn’t spam and someone started following Baked!Gunpla. That made my week. A huge thanks to 00Kaiser for getting me motivated again. It really means a lot and I hope we can trade links so that we can share traffic (although at this point it would probably just be me stealing from you).
I didn’t come here just to say thanks though. Since I have someone following now I have to get off my butt and work hard. It made me feel bad enough that I had someone start following me when I wasn’t even updating, but he’s been making good progress on his own site. So to mark my return, I’ll be doing a “Jack of All Trades” update. To be honest I didn’t have time to go all out on gunpla. So for now I have a short WIP and to make up for not doing much on gunpla, my thoughts on the new season’s anime. Baked!Gunpla’s schedule should be returning to normal with Manga Wednesdays and general updates on Wednesdays and WIP and whatever else on the weekends.

A quiet week. Today’s post will just be Manga Wednesday.
Not a really great week for progress. Schoolwork is painful.
Regardless, I’ve been on a roll with keeping Baked!Gunpla up to date so lets keep it up:
For this week: Denpa Kyoushi
So I’ve been wanting to put this up on MW’s spotlight for quite a while now. In fact this is one of the mangas that made me want to start it.
The plot is about an otaku who is forced by his little sister (IMOUTO!!!) to become a teacher. At first he doesn’t want to work, but it turns out he has a real talent for being one.
Well...sort of.
The main character, Kagami Junichirou, is a serious otaku. He seems like he is only interested in anime and for the most part he is. When a student with a problem catches his attention though, he’ll think of ways to help them out. Going to The World God Only Knows for a second, the MC reminds me of Keima. Something about the dedicated otaku archetype just makes me picture him. If another manga with an otaku lead isn’t your thing, the supporting cast is also very good. The younger sister keeps Kagami in check with threats, but she doesn’t come off as tsudereish. As the manga progresses we are introduced to a few other characters. Most of the recurring ones are students who Kagami has helped out and they all have their own enjoyable little quirks (which Kagami makes sure to take note of).
Even the most arbitrary thing can be your new nickname to this guy.
Overall the manga is pretty good in my opinion. The story is set up in arcs which have Kagami helping out a specific student with his or her respective problems. The humor is good. Kagami is certainly random enough by himself, but the supporting cast helps make good laughs. The artstyle? Well, basically all the girls in Denpa Kyoushi are Moeblobs.
Okay, not so much the middle one.
I’d say give Denpa Kyoushi a chance if you have some free time. It is currently sixteen chapters in so it won’t take long to get an idea of how it is. As always support the scanlators. Also, I’d enjoy some talk up in here so if you’ve read Denpa Kyoushi and liked it, back me up with some comments. Even if you didn’t like it, you’re free to post about what you disliked. Just don’t go too crazy. Finally, if anyone has any suggestions on any manga I should read, don’t hesitate to raise your voice.
